We are called for boarding from the business class lounge at 11 pm. We had just enough time in the lounge for a beer, couple of wines, spring rolls, chips and smarties, while Ann had a gin and tonic and biscuits and blue cheese. We passed Ross and Karen waiting to board as we went straight through. The seats are quite large and spacious. While Ann and I are sitting beside each other it is not easy to have a conversation. We depart on time and none of us want anything to eat, but I order a port and Luggy has a beer. It is a generous pour and very delicious port. Just before 1 am we settle down to sleep, the seats recline a long way and your feet can be stretched out into a small alcove in the front. It is comfortable but you are not lying flat. I have about a 4.5 hour sleep. At around 5 am the cabin crew are starting to get ready to serve breakfast.
Ann has pancakes for breakfast which look very nice. We land on time and then head off to the lounge. Ross and Karen have paid for lounge tickets, but it is a different lounge from us. I ask whether we can join them but the answer was no. The Business class lounge is huge and there is plenty of food hot drinks and cold drinks. It is not very busy as it is 5.30 am here. We have 5 hours in Changi before we fly to Frankfurt.
