Frankfurt

 Wow want a long flight! We left on time and we are upstairs in business class! We have over 12 hours to Frankfurt. Overall a very smooth flight. The seating is slightly roomier than the previous flight and very comfortable. It takes some time to work out all the storage and what buttons activate what. We are both feeling tired after waiting over 5 hours in Singapore. We are provided with a four course lunch over two hours, well spaced out. About 2 hours out of Frankfurt we have a three course meal for dinner. All meals were delicious. I have a snooze for about an hour around 2 pm and try another around 5 pm. Singapore is two hours behind us and then Frankfurt is 6 hours behind Singapore. 

We are due to arrive in Frankfurt at 11.52 Singapore time or 5.52 pm Frankfurt time which means we have been travelling from 7.45 pm Sunday when we were picked up to what will be around 2 am Tuesday Melbourne time - around 30 hours with minimal sleep! Ann and I are looking forward to a shower and straight into bed. Hopefully we don’t take too long to get our luggage and clear immigration. At least we are staying overnight at the airport hotel, so not far to walk. 

It took a while to get through customs, quite a lot of people had arrived and I got in the wrong queue. Ann, Kaye and Luggy sailed through, but my guy was thorough. Having eventually got to him, he then wanted to see my onward flight details. I handed over where we were staying overnight and then the flight deatails, after checking them he handed them back and I was on my way. I had barely got past the booth when he called me back! I had left my passport behind. Not feeling very clear headed.

There is construction going on at the airport so it was a little confusing getting to the hotel, but we made it. Check in and then head for a beer. We eventually get to bed at 9.30 pm.
